I delight in walking Fern, my English Springer Spaniel, through the woods and fields around Stanmer and over the South Downs.

Hangleton
Most of Hangleton valley (the foreground) was fields (and the bypass didn't exist) when I first walked along the old railway. In those days St Helen's church stood out as it was the nearest building.
