Ditchling: the competition


While I was running the sub-branch of Barclays Bank in the buildig on the right, the building two doors away (now an estate agency) housed a sub-branch of Lloyds Bank. Just what the building in between was I don't know. Probably a private house.

Ditchling: the bank


Stroll up the High Street just past the Bull and look across the road. Fifty years ago I worked in this building on Tuesday and Thursday mornings when Barclays Bank had a sub-branch on the ground floor.
